Step 1: Initial Consultation

What You Do: Contact us via our website or a quick email to schedule a consultation.

What We Do: We’ll have a conversation—either in person or via video call—to understand your vision, goals, and project requirements. This is where we learn about your brand, target audience, and the specific message you want your artwork to convey.

Step 2: Proposal & Agreement

What You Do: Review the detailed proposal we provide, which outlines the scope of work, timeline, and investment.

What We Do: Based on our discussion, we’ll create a proposal tailored to your project. Once you’re satisfied with the terms and have approved the proposal, we’ll move forward with a formal agreement. This agreement ensures both parties are aligned on expectations and gives us the green light to begin the artwork.

Step 3: Concept Development

What You Do: Share your thoughts and feedback on the initial concepts we develop.

What We Do: Once the agreement is in place, we’ll begin creating initial design mockups or sketches that capture the essence of your project. This is a collaborative phase where your feedback is crucial to refining the design.

Step 4: Design Refinement

What You Do: Review the refined design and provide any additional feedback.

What We Do: We’ll make the necessary adjustments to the design, fine-tuning every detail until it perfectly reflects your vision. We ensure that the final design is not only visually stunning but also aligned with your brand’s identity and goals.

Step 5: Final Approval & Production

What You Do: Approve the final design and prepare for the next steps.

What We Do: Once you’re thrilled with the design, we’ll move into production. Whether it’s art for licensing, a window painting, wall mural, or chalkboard signage, we ensure that the final product meets the highest standards of quality. You’ll have the opportunity to review and approve the final design before we complete the project.

Step 6: Installation & Delivery

What You Do: Prepare for installation or receive the final files in the necessary formats.

What We Do: For projects that require installation, such as window paintings, wall murals, and possibly chalkboard signs, we handle everything with precision and care. If the project is for art licensing or digital delivery, we ensure that all files and materials are provided in the necessary formats, ready for use.

Step 7: Ongoing Support

What You Do: Relax, knowing we’re here to support any future updates or new projects.

What We Do: Our relationship doesn’t end with delivery. We’re here to provide ongoing support, offering updates, new designs, or advice on how to make the most of your visual merchandising. We also offer seasonal or thematic updates to keep your brand fresh and engaging.

  • What is the process for getting a window painting done?
The process begins with a consultation to discuss your needs and vision. We’ll then create a design proposal and provide an estimate. Once you approve the proposal, we schedule the installation. Our team takes care of all aspects of the painting process, from design to execution.
  • How do I get a quote for a window painting project?
To get a quote for your window painting project, fill out our Contact Form or email us directly at stefaniefoxdesignstudio@gmail.com. We’ll review your project details, provide a personalized estimate, and outline the next steps for getting started.
  • What types of businesses benefit most from window painting?
Window painting is highly beneficial for various types of businesses, including restaurants, retail stores, healthcare facilities, hotels, warehouses, and corporate offices. It enhances curb appeal, attracts attention, and effectively communicates key messages to potential customers and passersby.
  • What kind of paint do you use?
We use artist-grade, odorless, non-toxic, water-based acrylic paints and art materials that are environmentally friendly. Our artwork is designed to be temporary but can be made semi-permanent, allowing for removal at your convenience.
  • How long does window painting last?
There are two great options for enjoying hand-painted window graphics: Temporary: Our Standard grade window painting is perfect for short-term promotions and is designed to last up to 3 months but may look fresh for up to 6 months depending on exposure to sunlight and weather elements. Semi-Permanent: Our Premium grade window painting is ideal for long-term brand visibility and marketing. It typically lasts up to 24 months, though it may remain looking fresh for up to 36 months depending on your window’s exposure to sunlight and weather conditions. Exposure to direct sunlight and weather conditions can impact how long your window painting remains vibrant.
  • Do you offer seasonal or temporary window painting options?
Yes, we offer seasonal and temporary window painting options designed to enhance your business's visibility during specific periods. We use water-based paints and prefer to schedule installations when temperatures are above 55°F and weather conditions are dry and calm. This ensures optimal results and durability for your seasonal or promotional window artwork.
  • Is window painting on inside or outside of window glass?
Window painting is typically done on the exterior side of the glass to maximize visibility and impact. If you need interior window decor, please visit our SHOP to view our window cling selection.
  • What if it rains? Will weather affect my window graphics?
As long as the window graphics are fully dried and cured before exposure to rain or other inclement weather, they will remain intact. The drying and curing process may take up to a few days, depending on weather conditions. Proper installation and drying ensure the longevity of your window art despite weather changes.
  • Are the window paintings weather-resistant?
Yes, our window paintings are designed to withstand various weather conditions. We use high-quality, weather-resistant paints to ensure durability and longevity.
  • What maintenance is required for window paintings?
Minimal maintenance is required. Regular cleaning with a soft cloth and mild detergent helps keep the artwork looking fresh. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals that could damage the paint.
  • How Should I Care for and Clean My Window Painting Installation?
Note: Our window paint is water-based, artist-grade acrylic paint, making it semi-permanent and removable. This contrasts with enamel or solvent-based paints, which are permanent and more challenging to remove. With proper care, semi-permanent window murals can last for many years. How Do I Dust My Window Painting? Regular dusting with a Swiffer or similar soft, dry cloth helps prevent silica, road dirt and pollen buildup on the artwork. For large windows, use a hand-held wand or a floor version with a long handle for ease. What’s the Best Way to Spot Clean Around the Graphics? For spot cleaning around the graphics, use a dry, soft cloth or lightly spritz a cleaning cloth with window cleaner and gently wipe the area. Avoid direct contact with the artwork and outlines to prevent damage. How Do I Clean My Window Painting Occasionally? Step 1: Apply window cleaner generously along the top of the window. The cleaner will run down over the graphic. Step 2: Use a squeegee to wipe the window in downward strokes. Move quickly and gently, as the graphic is delicate when wet. Note: Limit cleaning to once per application. If necessary, wait until the window is thoroughly dry before repeating the process. For spot cleaning, apply window cleaner to a cloth and gently clean the affected area. When Is the Best Time to Clean My Window Painting? Clean on dry, sunny, low-humidity days to avoid issues with water softening and weakening the graphic. Avoid cleaning during fog, morning dew, or rainy conditions. What Should I Avoid When Cleaning My Window Painting? DO NOT USE PRESSURE WASHERS on graphics or near them, as splash and overspray can damage the artwork.
  • How to REMOVE Window Painting (Process)
Tools: Large spray bottle filled with water 4" Glass & Tile Scraper Glass Cleaner (Windex) Window Washer / Squeegee Microfiber Glass Cleaning Cloth Towel Process: Prepare the Area: For large areas or multiple windows, work on one section at a time. Soak the Graphic: Spray the entire graphic thoroughly from left to right, ensuring it is well-soaked. Repeat this step at least 3 times. If it’s hot or windy, the water may evaporate quickly; continue spraying to keep the graphic moist. Patience is key—the softer the graphic, the easier it will be to remove. Test the Graphic: Check if the graphic is ready for removal. Use the glass scraper to lift a corner. If the graphic comes off easily in large ribbons or sheets with minimal scraping, it is ready. Remove the Graphic: Carefully scrape the graphic off the glass. Catch sections of graphics as they are being removed to avoid them sticking to other surfaces. Avoid letting the graphic fall to the ground, as it will be difficult to clean up later. Clean the Window: Once the graphic is removed, spray glass cleaner on the window panel. Use the squeegee to clean the window in a streak-free manner. Wipe the squeegee with the microfiber towel between each stroke and use the towel to dry the window sills. Helpful Tips: Humidity Helps: Higher humidity makes removal easier. Ideal times for removal are: Early morning while dew is still present Foggy or cloudy overcast days Rainy days (safety first — never remove during active rain showers or lightning) Be Patient: If the graphic is hard to remove or coming off in small bits, it’s not ready. Spray more water and wait until it softens. Weather Considerations: Warmer temperatures are preferable. Check the weather forecast before starting. Avoid direct sunshine during removal, as the water may evaporate quickly. Avoid Certain Tools: Do not use plastic scrapers, putty knives, or cooking spatulas as they may cause uneven removal and damage to the glass.
  • How Do I Prepare My Windows for Painting?
Preparation Steps: Clean the Windows: Ensure windows are thoroughly cleaned and free of dirt, dust, and grease. Use a glass cleaner and a clean cloth to remove any residues. Remove Existing Decals or Adhesives: Any old decals or adhesive residues should be removed completely to provide a smooth surface for painting. Inspect for Damage: Check the window for any damage or imperfections. Repair any issues before painting to ensure the best results.
